We are privileged to live and work in an incredible part of the world. Our rainforest is a part of the same ecosystem as that within the UNESCO World Heritage boundary, sharing many similarities and all of its beauty.
Whilst we sit outside of the UNESCO Tasmanian World Heritage Wilderness Area boundary, we are no less remote. Sit back and let the railway transport you into a unique corner of our world, where some of the trees are hundreds, if not over a thousand years old and the rivers can tell you a story or two – although they don’t all end with ‘happily ever after’.
There is a bittersweetness to this environment. Whilst it looks beautiful and the forest is healthy, the river we operate beside is forever marked by just a few decades of mining in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
